Amy’s Story

God's Story has changed My Story forever, and He has given me the opportunity to connect My Story to someone who sort of shares My Story. Let me explain:

When I was in fifth grade, my parents forced me to go to a private religious school. I did the whole rebellion thing and decided to get into Wicca and practice magic and other evil things. In junior high, some friends invivted me to come to our school's Campus Life club for free root beer floats; then they had this thing about God. I kept going every week after that, and I found Jesus! Actually He had been waiting for me. When I started living the Jesus-way, I stopped doing a lot of things that were bad for me.

During this time, I got to be friends with Carissa. Once we started to exchange life stories, we couldn't believe it! Carissa also used to be a Wiccan, but God's Story changed her life too. Just like me, she had rebelled against religion and gotten caught up in the Wiccan thing. Jesus Christ came into her life and forgave her just like He did for me. As we listened to each other, it was easy to connect our stories to God's Story and to each other's story. Carissa was encouraged to find someone who shared her story, because till then she thought she was the only one out there. I think God has connected us so we can help each other stay on the right path with Jesus. Pretty cool story, huh?
