Organizational Overview

The Youth for Christ (YFC) national movement began in 1944 under the prominent leadership of the Reverend Billy Graham.  Fort Wayne Area Youth for Christ opened its doors seven years later in 1951.  Since that time, the Fort Wayne chapter has grown into one of the largest of 200 ministry centers throughout the United States.

Our Mission
YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other likeminded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

YFC youth professionals currently serve students and administrations in 8 high schools, 15 middle schools, and 2 juvenile detention facilities, throughout Allen, Huntington, Wabash and Whitley Counties.  Youth for Christ is a non-denominational community/school-based organization.  Any student is allowed to participate regardless of religious orientation.  13 full-time, 4 part-time, and many volunteer staff lead weekly programs in mentoring, alcohol and drug prevention, abstinence training, character development, tutoring, athletics, and community service/mission trips. Over 9,000 area students will participate annually.

The Fort Wayne Area Youth for Christ ministry is solely supported by the generous donations of local individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations. If you would like to make a credit card donation, click here.
