Youth for Christ Lehigh Valley is a government approved, fully accountable 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We maintain a good standing with YFC/USA as a Charter Affiliate and adhere to their responsible stewardship standards.

Annually, we complete a Chatering process which requires an audit and financial reporting prepared by an independant accountant.

Annually, our Board develops a budget which is fully funded by the contributions of individuals, churches and businesses of the Lehigh Valley. We receive no funding from the government.

There are 3 ways to contribute financially.

Serving by Faith

Youth for Christ is neither endowed nor funded by any governmental agency. We are entirely dependent upon the voluntary contributions of the people who believe in our purpose and program. Additionally, over 15 area churches stand with us financially as we attempt to reach the thousands of teens in the Lehigh Valley Area.

Statement of Financial Integrity
  1. We believe that since 1971, the Lord has chosen to place His shelter of approval on the ministry of Youth for Christ Lehigh Valley. Though God gives, He sometimes takes away.  If He ever closes the doors to this work, we will accept His leading and surrender the outcome to Him. Until then, we will devote every ounce of energy to our task at hand.
  2. One way we can discern the Lord's will regarding the continuation of our work is through the support (or lack thereof) from His people. During sparse times, we will make our needs known to our friends - but we will never undertake dishonorable methods of fundraising, even when our need is serious.
  3. We will ask people not to support Youth for Christ Lehigh Valley or any other Christian program until their obligations to the local church have been met. It is the first line of defense to our youth.
  4. We will not operate this ministry with long-term debt.
  5. We will not take any contributions that we receive for granted. They are sent from people who have sacrificed to make their gifts possible. Our obligations are to spend that money conservatively and wisely in continuing the ministry. We have no luxurious office or furniture. Every penny is stretched as far as possible to reach today's teens.
  6. It is our intent to receipt all donations within 48 hours after depositing them. We will also include a fair market value of any benefit (if any) received by the donor, in order to help contributors determine the tax-deductible portion of their gifts.
  7. When we make a purchase, we will pay the invoice within 30 days if possible. If not, we will communicate our situation to the vendor. We do not intend to misuse the vendor's trust.
  8. We will not try to raise more money than we need.
  9. We will never sell or rent our mailing list to those wishing to use the names and addresses of our supporters. We will maintain the tightest security on our list of friends and supporters.
  10. We will conform to the standards established by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) - organization created to insure ethical fundraising and administrative practices. An independent CPA audits us annually.

To summarize, the YFC ministry is Geared to the Times…but Anchored to the Rock, Jesus Christ. He ordained and blessed this ministry. It belongs to Him.
