Schedule
Plan to arrive the day before and check into the hotel. More information will be sent to you when you receive your invitation.
Classes usually start at 8:00 am Monday morning.
Transportation
- Book your flight into Denver International Airport (DEN)
- You have the option of renting a car but we have found that most candidates are fine using the supershuttle from the airport to the hotel and then the free hotel shuttle to the YFC office. It is your choice and you may reimbursed for either expense once sufficient funds are in your account. Click here to rent a car. *Depending on the class size, you may be asked to rent a car to be reimbursed. Details TBD*
- To book the shuttle, which we've found to be most cost effective check out: SuperShuttle Denver when you arrive at the airport. For one person it costs $25, for two people it costs $34. You can book it one way or round trip. To arrange pick up to return to the airport, call SuperShuttle 24 hours prior to your departure.

The Cost of Candidate Orientation
We ask that you raise the funds for the entire cost of Candidate Orientation (including transportation) from your potential donors and church. The funds for room, tuition, and counseling should be raised and in your YFC account before attending. You will pay for your own transportation and submit these items for reimbursement from your missionary account. We will charge your account the exact costs of each item below, however, please note that the numbers below are our best estimate at this time. For example counseling or hotel rooms may be less or more and we will charge your account the correct amount.
Estimate of Costs for Candidate Orientation
- Room: $330 per room (includes breakfast). If we have two singles that can share a room then it is only half this amount.
- Tuition: $350 single / $450 per couple
- Counseling: $450 single / $650 per couple
- Background Check: $20-$50 per person
- Transportation options: Driving/Flying $100-$700
- Shuttle from Denver International Airport (DEN) $36 per person
- Total Estimated Budget: $1100-$1,300 for singles, $1,400-$1,600 per couple
Funding for Candidate Orientation
- Go to your church's mission committee and explain your desire and the possibility of the Lord calling for you to become a missionary: the need of the mission, the steps you will need to take and the funds required for each step, then request their support.
- Meet with 10 other people over coffee or a meal to tell them your desire to become a missionary, the need of the mission, the steps you will need to take and the funds required for each step. Request their support.
- The last option (least preferred method) would be to write a letter to potential donors to tell them your desire to become a missionary, the need of the mission, the steps you will need to take and the funds required for each step. Request their support.
