When Brice got out of college he pastored a church in Berne, Indiana for a year. YFC Staff Evangelist, Dan Ankerburg, came to lead a week of revival meetings, and that’s how Brice and DeLora got acquainted with YFC. Jack Daniel recommended they go to direct a very small program in Rockford, Illinois in 1953. At the first Saturday night rally Brice questioned whether YFC was for him since only one boy came forward. That turned out to be Gordy Bear who became the President of the Social Workers of America. Ron Hutchcraft was a capable club leader in Belvidere, Illinois. Brice spent 8 years in Rockford.
