Jim began volunteering with YFC in Columbus, Ohio in the mid to late 90s. He and Scott Arnold, the Executive Director, started the YFC Wheels ministry in 2002. After Central Ohio YFC built a $3 million Youth Center, Jim moved into a garage in 2005 with two hydraulic hoists and enough equipment to train girls and boys to repair cars. They restored a 1978 Monte Carlo, which now runs great. The boys who worked on it had their lives transformed. Colton Saunders is an example of a boy whose life was changed. About 15-20 youth per year cycle in and out of the Wheels ministry. Jim takes the kids to car shows and on trips to Gatlinburg, etc. He leads them in Bible studies, which are very impactful to the students.
