Ken was asked by Regional Director, Art Deyo, in 1985 to start YFC in Louisville. Ken and Dottie moved there from Indianapolis where they had had ministry for six years. At their first banquet a teacher approached Ken and said he could take over her high school group of 26 kids that met every Friday night. The ministry grew from there with a small staff and solid board. He specialized in contacting and communicating with pastors. They started Deaf Teen Quest, JV Campus Life, The Underground, Teen Moms, and they helped Bruce Baker start Bluegrass YFC in Lexington, Kentucky. After 13 years the ministry exploded, and God gave them an additional 10 years of wonderful, fruitful ministry there.
