Larry grew up in Cheyenne and was highly influenced by Del Hafer. In 1966 he and his wife, Susan were Y-2 missionaries to Beirut, Lebanon. But they had to leave early because of the 1967 6-day war. He was with Roger Cross in Ventura for a year, then Executive Director in Omaha for 3 years and then Executive Director in Houston for 15 years. He was an RFD for two years and an NFD under Jay Kesler for two years. Then he and Fred Carpenter launched Mars Hill productions, which initially provided discussion starters for Campus Life meetings.
