Rod began his ministry in Tacoma, Washington around 1967. During his two years there, he began working with troubled and incarcerated kids. He spent 10 months in San Jose and three years as Executive Director in Stockton, California, before moving to Salem Oregon. He has been in Salem for 41 years and counting. During that time he has become friends with the governor, police chief, sheriff, the juvenile judge and others as well. He’s been on the advisory board of the youth authority since the mid-90s. Staying in one place for so long has enabled them to have open doors for ministry throughout the area, and many troubled youth have come to Christ.
