Roger tells that when he took over as President in 1991, YFC/USA was over $4.5 million in debt. He invited Jim Groen, President of YFCI, and four businessmen over to talk about what could be done. After Roger laid out all the facts, to the man they all recommended that Roger close YFC down. After the men left, Jim said, “Roger, this is God’s deal; don’t close it down.” Soon a group across the street, Copec Medical, made an offer to buy the building that had been an albatross around YFC’s neck. They said YFC could take over their lease in their building and have all their furniture. It was clearly God’s miracle because by all normal observations YFC should have “crashed and burned.”
