After transferring to Wheaton College from the University of Illinois in 1941, Sam got acquainted with Billy Graham, who was a couple years ahead of him (Sam was 92 when this was recorded.) He laughs when he tells that Billy would go out to preach on weekends and then come to his Greek class on Monday morning and ask for Sam’s notes so he could prepare for the quiz. He tells how Billy confronted one of the professors in their philosophy class. He shares how he and Billy and a few other students were praying for revival on the campus and Billy would stretch out face down on the floor, pounding the floor and saying, “Lord, all I want to do is win souls for Christ.”
