Amber Huber’s Adventures

Hi everybody! My name is Amber Huber and I am a camp intern this summer. I work alongside three other amazing, beautiful ladies; Sarah from California, Marjorie from Illinois and Emily from Indiana.

We are finishing up our first week here in Denver today. It has been a really interesting week! We get to work on a large variety of things, so work is never dull or boring. While we are in the office we work on behind the scenes kind of work. So far we have organized and made an inventory of all the costumes and props that we have. We have made evaluations, booklets and prepared lots of other things for camps. When we go to camp we will do a number of things depending on the needs of certain tasks.

We are all very excited to go to camp and watch God work in the lives of everyone! All four of us will be going to Holland, MI to work at a middle school camp. The camp is right on Lake Michigan and we get to spend the 4th of July there together. I am super excited to spend that time with all the interns and the other staff that will be at that camp.

I feel extremely blessed to have this opportunity. I have gone to camp 4 summers now, twice as a camper, once as work crew and once as a leader. I have always seen the interns at all of the camps I went to, and I thought “I want to do that!” Now this summer, I was given the chance to do it! I am looking forward to learning more about YFC and watching God change people’s lives, including my own.
