Serving in Philippines

Paddy and Trusella just spent two years ministering in Manila, Philippines (2009-2011). While there, they worked in three major areas: (1) Youth ministry(with a few of the local churches, teaching, building relationships with and having Youth retreats); (2) Muslim ministry (worked with and assisted several local missionaries working in local areas within Manila. The work included feeding programs, educational programs and livelihood. Within this time period, Trusella was responsible for leading a Women's Bible Study group twice a month where some of the local women were Muslims as well as Christians coming together to learn more about God. (3) The last area of ministry, in particular, was where Trusella spent most of her time, that is helping women and children get out of prostitution. Trusella worked with several local Christian organizations which offered holistic kind of ministries. Through these ministries many women made decisions to leave the bars and streets and were offered counseling, prayer and other opportunities to make a living through training, livelihood and some returned back to college. They are truly grateful to have had such an opportunity to work with the various ministries in the Philippines. At this time, Paddy and Trusella are in transition and waiting to see where God will direct them next.
