About Youth for Christ Military: Club Beyond
Although military students walk the same school hallways as other teens, they live in a much different world. Military students attend as many as four to six different schools before their senior year in high school. Many move to foreign countries. Most will endure multiple periods of time with only one parent at home, while patiently enduring the six- to eighteen-month deployments of the other parent. In their worlds, uncertainty and change have become the only constant.
YFC desires to reach "every young person in every people group" and that includes those whose parents serve the US military. Youth for Christ Military has been ministering to military kids for over 60 years.
Serving in the United States and 10 European and Asian countries, Youth for Christ Military provides staff to MCYM/Club Beyond and walks the halls with military teens and their families to help them face the unique and challenging aspects of growing up in the military.
Because of the constant change, military students are the students from everywhere, but no place really feels like home to them. Military families find their roots in maintaining connection with people. Therefore all of our YFC staff serving in Club Beyond seek to establish a sense of community built around faith, fun and friends. Club Beyond consists of weekly meetings, special events, summer camps, service projects and Bible studies. Club Beyond staff seek to create a place where adult leaders cultivate meaningful relationships with teens so that kids can hear the Gospel message from someone they know and trust. Club Beyond Staff are committed to providing a place of acceptance, love, safety and support for the proud teens of our servicemen and women. One or our greatest needs is for Club Beyond Staff committed to Christ who love military brats and want to get involved.
