In 1984 Becky’s parents offered to send her and Paul on a trip to Europe. That month-long trip got them interested in possible YFC missions in Europe. They asked Lowell Benson what opportunities there might be in Europe, and he suggested they work at a camp in Switzerland. So in 1986 they landed in Switzerland and worked with international students for six years. These were people of influence - sons and daughters of diplomats and ambassadors from various countries around the world. While they were there they met a number of young women who worked with families, who were called “au pairs.” These were young women from the U.S. and other countries in Europe who were taking a “gap year” between high school and college. So since 1992 Paul and Becky have been working together to minister to many young women and a few young men - many of whom are hurting and need loving care and the Gospel. Many have found Christ and taken that message back to their home countries.
