Carl Lansing has been a lawyer in private practice for 33 years in Denver, Colorado.

He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and is a graduate of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. He was a founding partner in a commercial law firm where he practiced business law for 13 years and then formed his own firm after authoring the Legal Defense Handbook for Christians in Ministry, Navpress 1993. The focus of Carl's work continues to be nonprofit organizations, faith-based ministries and churches. 

In addition to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations and churches, Carl has served since 1998 as corporate general counsel to Youth for Christ/USA, Inc. and Youth for Christ International, with 1700 staff, 19,000 volunteers, and 195 offices in the U.S., and foreign ministry centers in 98 countries.

Carl has taught Corporate Law as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver College of Law and has presented courses and seminars on Legal and Ethical Issues at Denver Seminary. He has served on the Board of Trustees at Colorado Christian University in Denver, Colorado. He is also the founder of Lansing Legal that hosts mini-conferences where CEO/Board level conversations are facilitated around subjects such as vision alignment, improved governance, succession planning and tactical decision making.
