Those three words carry so much meaning for military teens and their families.  You see, most of the time that phrase means that a Service Member has received “Permanent Change of Station” or “PCS” Orders.  What do these three words mean to a military teen?

  • A move across the country or the world.
  • Saying goodbye to friends, teachers, and teammates.
  • The chance to make new friends.
  • The chaos & stress that comes with transition.
  • The fear of the unknown.
  • The excitement of new experiences and possibilities.

These are just a few of the issues that military teens deal with on a regular basis.  While the Army is attempting to stabilize families and move them less often, the average “dwell time” for most military families is still 24-36 months in one location.  Most families handle this facet of military life remarkably well.  We are so grateful for the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with these teens while they are in our community.
